Hi, i am on azathioprine and doing very well my crohn's is in remission since i got pregnant, my baby was born and i still in remission, however my psoriasis is  very bad, i am completly cover. i have discussed my situation  with my derm and GI and they decided to change my medication for Methotrexate, i know that i cannot get pregnant , but it  is fine for me at moment. My question is how is the managment of Methtrexate??? Is it the same as Azathioprine , blood tests every three months?? i completly forgot to ask my doctors about that. My situation is not very easy at moment, my fiancee lives in another country and my family as well. I do travel quite a lot. My next appointment with Dem is in March, and i have to go away at the beginner of may for two months  i just need somebody to clarify how is the management of this drug. For instance, at  the  beginner of treatment blood tests are  every week, how is going to be later???? every weekly, montly or every three months. Thanks in advance, i am waiting for replies. If the management of this drug requires every month blood test, it  is not a drug for me at moment due my traveling to see my mum and fiancee.

It is usually a monthly bloodtest but if the results are fine and you're feeling fine it can be up to 3 months.
