I know I can be a little deranged sometimes, but even my guts are twisted?!?!?!?!

Well, when I ruptured back in 1990, they told me everything flew around inside me for the 3 days I waited at home.  I always pictured those "flaling arm inflatable tube men".  They did say one piece even wrapped around one of my reproductive organs.

However, how come no one ever addressed this as an issue after they scoped me before this new doc?  Is this common? Does anyone else here have guts that are not in the places they should be---Randy you can not answer that one?  I was diagnosed almost 20 years ago and this is the first I heard of it.  Going to ask my new GI at my follow up, but want some advice from the peanut gallery first.

By the way...how come no one ever gave me the Miralax prep before.....it was actually easy.  Never thought I would say that!
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]

So my guts twist around my adhesions, but you have me trumped. But your post made me think of Grey's Anatomy when they call Meredith dark and twisty. I refer too myself as that all the time. So you really can call yourself twisty!

Why wouldn't they have "straightened" you out when you ruptured? I would be interested to hear that answer.

I assume all was good on the rest of the test? and you have learned your lesson about saying things are wonderful to your GI?

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Hey Suzanne...yes I learned my lesson. New GI is sending me for a CT since the scope to get more information. I think I am not meeting with him until that test is done...why make two visits right? I really think is thorough and that makes me very happy. I feel like I will actually get answers...even if I am twisted on the inside! I am going to ask why they did not fix it at surgery

Interesting...My old G.I. told me I had a possible twisted stomach years ago.
After my doctor left the room my wife and I looked at each other and couldn't
stop laughing... Thanks for the post!
