Things w/ my intestines these past few years are all starting to make sense, until my recent diagnosis (not confirmed until biopsies are back) things w/my gut health have gone downhill despite my being a healthnut and very into healthy lifestyles. Anyway, for months I'd feel like I was when I was pregnant, like big booms and kicks and things shifting, just like a baby was in there doing their nightly kicks and moving around. I cannot believe our intestines can squeeze and kick and contract and spasm so much to feel like there's twins in there at all times!

Hmmm, there is a correlation between kids and gas, sometimes both turn out to be little farts. Ohhhhhh come on ,,,I'm only kidding......

Hello I was diagnosed with chrones in august 09 it was very tramatic to me. I have one child he is now almost 2 but when this all started I thought everything was caused due to my birth control. I was so scared but I at first thought I was pregnant and now still go through it because I constantly feel like I have a baby kicking in my stomach and am constantly nauseous. I am on pentasa twice a day

I felt the same thing!!!  When I would bend over it felt like I was 6 months pregnant because of the pressure under my ribs.  I thought it was sooooooo weird.  And of course I was scared for a while there that my birth control method wasn't working.  tongue

Lol, I don't get gassy (but my aunt w/Crohn's has stories). I do have indigestion and will lay down and then get up and the hugest, longest, gutteral burp from my esophagus will come out. Ew! lol

Probiotics and for some fiber will help relieve some of the gas. But I do want you to know that what you are going thru is very common with us. Sometimes when you get really gassy and bloated after eating it can mean you might have bacterial overgrowth and that might need to be treated too. Good luck~

I'm scared to "treat" too much bacteria w/ an antibiotic, they did that last month and I got deathly ill! It was scary, it probably made it worse. So far probiotics and a very blandish diet for me. The ER did give me Cipro but I never took it, because I don't want to take something unless I know why I need to take it, they just said "just in case you have anything bacterial".

I had to do 10 days of Cipro to clear up my bacterial overgrowth. I felt a million times better afterwards.

Haha, I love this thread. Sometimes you can feel things moving around in there, so i always take my boyfriend's hand so he can "feel the baby kick". At least we can get a laugh out of this DD sometimes.

That might be what I need, I have the script from the ER 2 weeks ago, but Flagyl was what set me off about a week and half before that really bad. I was like on death's door (it felt like) if I would've kept taking it. Thing is I had flagyl/Cipro over summer and worked well together and I felt great. The ONE thing from the 1.5 days of taking the Flagyl I noticed was formed stools, the one positive out of it...so that's weird.

Did you do a "test" btw to find out about the bacterial overgrowth like a breath test, or did you just take the antibiotics? I guess I should schedule an appt w/my gastro again. I don't know how long I can go on with my intestines not digesting things well and stomach cramps and spasms and stuff. ; )
