Hi everyone...

Today is day 2 of Entocort and I'm feeling like crap.. I do think the Entocort is working though because my right sided discomfort is better today... however, my stomach is hurting and I'm feeling more discomfort along the transverse colon and the upper left side. I'm also feeling queasy and lightheaded... UGH...

I swear, I want to get better SOO Badly... it seems if it's not one symptom, it's another... My GI said I could quit taking Pentasa when I started the Entocort... which I did... should I resume the Pentasa??? I'm freaking out because I feel just horrible...

Also, I did have some neurological side effects from the Remicade and was advised to stop it, but I'm tempted to try it again despite what happened, because it did make a huge difference in how I felt intestine-wise..

Hey Sniper

I doubt t's the Ambien because when I do take it, it actually makes my gut feel better. In fact, sometimes it's used as an anti-emetic. But, since it's a sleeping pill, I don't like to take it that much... I just think it may be coincidental that this started right when starting the Entocort and stopping Pentasa. Although who knows, maybe that is it... I will ask my GI when he get's back from vacation and see what he says.. Thanks for the tip :)

I am going to resume the Pentasa today along with the Entocort and see if that helps... maybe I shouldn't have stopped the Pentasa...

Its funny I have seen so many people stop meds like Pentasa or Asacol thinking they were not working, only to have a flare pop up right after they got off them. I would go back on the Pentasa if you feel it was helping you. I am on the sister med Asacol and I went off it once, but will never do it again as I got really sick. Hugs!

Hi everyone :)

Good news tonight so far! I did resume the Pentasa today and feel a LOT better tonight than the last 2 days I didn't take it.. Nanners.. that's funny what you mentioned about not realizing how much it IS helping you until you quit taking it.. I will NEVER EVERRRR do that again... lol..

Oh and the Entocort is definately making a difference... I don't feel any bloating on the right side anymore and the pain is getting less and less.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is the drug combo that will work since I can't take anything more heavy duty..

I gotta have a wisdom tooth pulled tomorrow at 10am, so I'm going to take my AM meds at midnight tonight since I can't have anything to eat or drink after that and I'd rather be early on my meds than late.. They are sedating me with propofol, so that should be fun... lol... If it's anything like Versed... woo hoo! LOL...
