 it has come to my attention that customers at my wifes work come in and describe in detail what there poop looks like and ask what they should take (vitamin store) to cure the problem . i told her i had no idea but together we all could come up with some type of chart.. sooo any ideas for a poop color wheel would be appreciated... what do ya all think?smilewinkgrin

I bought a joke book for a friend from Urban Outfitters at Xmas that told all about what the different color of poops meant and the sizes and smells. I know there are actually medical books like that, but this was for sure a joke book. Now I wish I had kept it.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!


Prednisone, 6MP,Prevacid, B12 shots, Bentyl, Xifaxan.....

scooljan2003 Sorry but that chart is incomplete!nono Where's the 'pudding' that I see all to frequently or the 'explosive splat'shocked that's even more frequent? Colors are optional except maybe florescent pink or green.

Male, 54 years old with Crohn's since 15 years old, diagnosed at age 46. Terminal ileum resected 2002. 5 months of remission. Crohn's has now been active since early 2003. Had a gall bladder removed Nov. of 2009. Currently on Remicade every 8 weeks, Nexium, Iron, B-12 injection every 4 weeks,5-asa Asacol, Morphine Sulfate as needed for pain. Cymbalta for long term pain control. 5-asa Salofalk, Entecort, Imuran and Prednisone in the past.

Haha! You're right, the chart doesn't show every possibility, but I think IBD'ers probably have more variations than the general public - maybe we're just looking more closely! 

I would say the pudding poo would be a 6.5 on the chart, and the explosive splat would rank around 6.5 - 7, depending upon how much gas accompanies the explosion.

I also don't see the "no feces," just "chunky tomato soup": tissue/blood/mucous only. That's the worst in my opinion!

We're a sick bunch, aren't we?
