Thank you all for the warm wishes! I will confess that this was a BIG one - the big 6-0! Last night's celebration was very quiet since my day fell on Monday. However, there was nothing quiet about the birthday bash my mother threw for me on Saturday. Wonderful food in an awesome setting with great companions. Then with a couple drinks under my belt, I let my 84 year old mother talk us into going out dancing. It was undoubtedly the most fun I have had since my husband died. And yes, we had a designated driver which was good since I know I was over the limit. LOL! Also, for all of you who know actors, I spent a long time talking to "The Punisher" and star of "Hung." I had no clue who he was. When my DD's boyfriend learned who I had been chatting up, he really wanted to meet him. So I made the intro and lots more converstaion ensued. My DD's boyfriend thinks I am very cool - dinner, actors, dancing, and my mother picking up the tab.

And my only niece provided me with a great gift. She had her first child on my birthday!

I could not believe how interested he was in talking to me. Could it be I had absolutely no clue who he was? When he said he was in an HBO series, I figured he was some bit player. I don't have HBO so am basically clueless about their shows. Later I find out he is married. Dumb me, I thought he might have ulterior motives in mind which I found very flattering. I am getting old - my mind is playing tricks!

Maybe your mind isn't playing tricks. Men like all kinds of women and you may fit the bill ..Just dont want you to be down on yourself just because you had a birthday...Big Hug (((((((Ides)))))))

IDES I am so glad your Mom gave you such an awesome birthday party. It sounds like you had a great time. I think Tom Jane if I am not mistaken is married to that lady who stars in Medium. She's one of the Arquettes, just can't remember her first name.
