it's a mixed blessing. if we could see absolutley no improvement, or a vast improvement, then we could make a decision

You've made a lot of progress for only 6 weeks! Many people don't see such good results so fast. Be aware that there is a "3 month flare" that many people go through, so if you see a setback around that time, don't give up.

thanks all for the encouragement. he is the toughest kid I know. at his absolute worst(first diagnosis) he only missed 5 days of school. on an aside- we noticed a definate connection between immuran and arthritis. crippling arthritis 4 months after starting, and complete relief two weeks after stopping two years later.

my boy is now up to 67 lbs. this is the first time he has weighed this much! Yahoo!!! walked 1 1/2 miles home from school just for fun. on Immuran, he couldn't walk a block. now he's geo-caching with his friends. it is a tough diet to follow. imagination in recipes is key. use one ingredient to offset the taste of another

My son quit the SCD after 3 months, his choice, and we have to honor it. It was just too strict for a 13 yr old. he has gained and maintained 7.5 lbs since january. this last ten days has been tense as we wait to see what happens. we still eat organic, and avoid junk. his Vit d is finally up, and he is out biking every day, including 2.5 k to school on nice days. Iron suppliments seem to set of the arthritus pain. thanks all for the support
