I'm not a Dancing with the Stars girl, but I would most certainly watch to support her! I love stars who speak out about their Crohn's! And to think she is so successful with this disease!

at the risk of sounding really ignorant who's Shannen Doherty? Do love finding out bout celebs and sports stars with Crohn's or UC - makes it sound that little bit more glamourous when you explain it to people lol!

Diagnosed with typical Crohn's at 16.
Got lucky with Asacol for a year, then even luckier with ten years of relative remission.
Now abscesses and fistulas are having an "atypical" Crohn's party around my junk.
My HMO refused the Remicade and now I could be going on Lialda or sulfa? blah

Shannen is from 90210 fame...well, the 1990's version! You'd have to have been a teen/20-something in the 90's to appreciate it. :)

I'm not a fan of Dancing with the Stars either, but I can't help but be interested...to watch someone who has Crohn's do something that physically demanding is, well...fascinating to me.

I will definitely be watching! It is a nice escapism for me for  few hours. I did not know Shannen had this disease. I had heard john J york (general hopsital) had it. It is intresting to learn about these celebrities because it kind of gives you hope that you can have a normal life too!!!cool

Dx with crohns February 25, 2010. But suspect I had it since 2002 with very mild symptoms.
4 lialda a day.

I will be watching. I do like that Niecie Nash though, she is a hoot and a half. I'll be pulling for Shannen too. I couldn't believe it when I heard she had crohn's. I wish more of the stars would come out and be spokesmodels for the disease and fundraising.

She was also on three seasons of Charmed as Prue.

I'm really hoping she makes it far. I'm a big fan :)

Also Mayor Menino of Boston. He was just re-elected for something like a fifth term, pretty stress filled job.
