You wont have a problem. You should be fine. Try not to stress yourself to hard if you are on a high dose. To Avoid adrenal insufficiency. Steroids work better on a "just awoken" body. Always better in the morning.

good luck Friend.

I am still on pred (uh, hence the 1 a.m. and I'm still awake. :)  but I spilt my dose of 25 mg once in the morning and once in the evening - usually I have been taking 15 in the a.m. and 10 in the p.m. but acccidentally took 2 pills (20mg) this morning so I took my last dose of 5 mg at 6 p.m. and it just keeps me up overall.  I was on 60 mg a while back and am just weaning off now.

I have taken pred several times before but can really tell a huge difference between even 40 mg and 25.  I am only now starting to feel any sort of calm whereas before I was in a constant state of anxiety and my heart was always racing.  Not fun!  I am weaning down about 5 mg every 5 days to see how that goes - if I feel like I need to do it slower I will but have been on pred for 4 months now and need to stop asap.  Especially the fact that I can't sleep as much needs to go!

Good luck!  :)

I find I have less problems with insomnia if I take Pred as early in the morning as possible. Maybe try giving that a shot. And yes Ivy here they charge for everything it seems.

I just went on line and looked up side effects of pred and they say you get thin skin from it, also imuran says that you can bruise easily, i take both and my skin on my arms and hands so far that i've noticed cuts easy bruises easy and burns easy, anybody else see this side effect/ and it also seems to take longer to heal
