Why do they have to make Moviprep so unpalatable?

If you haven't guessed I'm drinking the stuff now. Ughhhh.

Send me luck? The doctors are finally going to confirm my diagnosis.

Yuck and double yuck. Think of it as a nice spring cleaning. Stick with it so you will be very clean for your procedure. The last thing I would want is to not be clean and have to repeat it! Ugh!

Hang in there!!

Thank you so much. It's so hard to get this stuff down. I'm 3/4 of the way done though.
It's all liquid now...I guess it kind of helps that I've been on a liquid diet for the last 5 days.
Now the only solids I'm getting are these white things that look like little splinters with dried blood on them. Weird.

My parents are finally going to have colonoscopies (they are 58 and 57 and I've been telling them they should have them) and I'm sure I'll hear earfulls about the prep once they go through it. People don't understand the crap (no pun intended) we have to deal with!

I hope they figure things out tomorrow!! Good luck!

I know this post is waaayyyy too late since you were prepping last night, but I wanted to chime in about the MoviPrep.

First, I hope you made out okay last night and this morning and I hope your scope went well!! :-)

Regarding the bowel prep, I actually had a much easier time with the MoviPrep than I did with  OsmoPrep (horse pills - all 32 of them) that I used in 2008. Those things were outrageous!! Anyway, my GI gave me the go-ahead to substitute citrus flavored Vitamin Water for tap water to mix the MoviPrep. So I did, and stuck it in the fridge that morning. By the time I had to start my prep that night (around 7:00 p.m.) the MoviPrep was nice and cold and really easy to get down. There was a salty/sweet aftertaste, and by no means was it delicious, but it was completely palatable. I had no side effects (other than a teeny tiny headache) and the bathroom visits were must less...violent is the only word I can come up with...than they were with the pills. I was running clear by the time I finished the first dose and was able to get a few good hours of sleep before the second dose. I couldn't finish the last 8 oz because I was so stinking FULL! But I got a 2 thumbs up on the prep from my GI so I was good to go. The biggest plus for me was that I was DONE GOING before I left the house the following morning. With the OsmoPrep pills, I was literally still going as they were walking me back for the procedure. That was horrible!

Anyway, sorry for the ramble. I just wanted to share. Have a great day!

Good scope and good answers!

The best part (only... if any) for me is the med for sleeping :).

Not as well as I had hoped. I wish I would have finally gotten an answer, but alas, the scope was clean (a good thing I guess). I'm just very frustrated now.

Thank you all for the support.
