She passed this morning at 12:30 am...she had a few health issues, one of them being UC, we almost lost her in Dec from kidney failure because she became severely dehydrated, not eating/drinking enough, she also had a C-Diff infection (has had heart disease for a while now), and she fell and fractured 2 areas in her lower back, she was just starting to feel better...then she got a ruptured aneurysm in the brain....she woke up Saturday morning with a bad headache and dry heaves (bringing up some mucous) but she complained most about her headache, sister called the amubulance cuz mom said she thought she needed one (usually fights them tooth and nail) this time she new and even told my sister she wasn't comming back....totally devistatedcry They figured that her kidneys would be what would end up taking her cuz all the damage done by them shutting down at least 3 times in this last yr...even though it was the aneurysm that took her, please make sure you guys keep you food and especially fluid intake up cuz even though she was 82, with having IBD we are more susceptible to dehydration.
bee propolis caps 500mg one cap twice/day
omegas 369 caps one cap twice/day
probiotics 10 billion cfu once/day
vitamins C-calcium ascorbate (easy on the gut) and vitamin A each once/day
Prodiem fibre supplement one cap before bed
I've also altered my diet (no junky stuff at all, processed, fast-foods, refined sugars, ect) and exercise regularly.
I went from 30+ bloody BM's/day with lots of lower back pain to an average of 5/day no bleeding no back pain and completely formed stools, still have severe urgency issues.
~~~~~~~~My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)~~~~~~~~
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.
Oh pb I am so sorry. Please take care of yourself in this time of sadness. Although I still think about her daily, my Mom has been gone for 4 years and it has changed from a heavy feeling in my heart to a warmth of knowing she is always with me. Know that she is still there with you only in a more comforted place.
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]
I'm riding on the escalator of life....
