Colonoscopy prep

Has anyone been told they can eat sherbrt as part of the liquid diet? My instruction include it.

Italian ice, but never sherbert. I always thought the difference was that one contained milk and the other didn't. Full liquid vs clear liquid. I love sherbert, I want your doctor!

CD 20 years officially, 30 unofficially. 3 resections '93, '95 '97
Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!


Prednisone, 6MP,Prevacid, B12 shots, Bentyl, Xifaxan.....

I am going to call the doctor's office, because the first ingredient in sherbet is "milk."
I just switched to this doctor recently because my doc of 20 years was brushing me off.
Hopefully this doc will be a little more attentive - I'm glad he ordered the colonoscopy
tomorrow, but today I feel awful - broth tastes awful and I'm so tired and hungry.
16 hours to go!
Wow - recections every 3 yeras - that's alot. I had my 3 over a 32 year period.
It's starting to take it's toll on me now that I'm over 50.

They were actually 2 years and 4 months apart, almost to the day. You wanna bet I was holding my breath when the 2 year and 4 months was up after the 3rd one waiting to see if I was going to have to have a 4th resection! But its been a long time now, so Knock Wood.

My doctor's nurse called to make sure I was all set for tomorrow and I asked her about the sherbet.
She said it is OK to eat, it has so very little milk.
I chose not to, tho - could mean one less glass of the disgusting putrid stuff I'm drinking
