so I am tapering off my 60 mg dose of Prednisone and am finally down to 15 mg, where I have been for about a week.  But I am so tired, especially today!  I remember feeling this way before when I have tapered in the past but I really just want to take a nap.  Of course, I am still up at night (even though I take my 10mg dose in the morning then my 5 mg dose in the evening) but in the morning it's so tough to get out of bed and then all morning I am in a fog.

Is there anything anyone here does to kind of counteract that?  I would like to say I am going for a walk to get some energy, but definitely not today.  Sometimes that helps but on a day like today I am thinking more along the lines of a certain type of food or supplement etc that I can take?  Or do I just have to wait it out?

Why are you separating the dose? I would be taking it all at the same time. I'm down to 5mg and I'm dragging all day long too, so I feel your pain. But no matter what my dose has been I've never separated the dose. I've always taken it as early in the AM as possible.

I am in the same boat... down to 15 mg from 40 and I am SO TIRED!!! It is so strange to feel that way after almost a year of not being able to sleep!! I still have a little bit of insomnia but mostly I'm just exhausted. I hope it gets better from here. I can't remember what it was like the last time I was tapering at this level.

I was on 60 and my dr had my take 20mg 3x a day, then split it to twice a day, etc.  I was taking 20 mg a day so 10 in the morning and 10 in the evening - since I am tapering I cut the evening dose in half.

I am just feeling tired, irritable and have no motivation.  I also haven't gotten my period in over 7 weeks and can tell my body is just screwed up in general.  This all happened last time but it still doesn't make it any more fun this time around.
