Hi, I have just discovered this site and hope to get support.  I was diagnosed with Crohns about a year ago having thought I had IBD for years.  Have had colonoscopy, gastroscopy, CT scan, 2 bariums, 1 hospitalisation for bowel obstruction and am waiting for MRI. currently taking Pentasa, Prednesolone, and methotrexate but still having sudden dashes to the loo.  Feeling tired and very fed up with trying to watch what I eat with little effect (or lots of effect as the case maybe !)   So far I have had no bleeding or abcesses so I know I am very lucky but this disease really does get you down.  Hope to make new friends here.rolleyes

Hi Missnuts and welcome to Healingwell. You will find alot of support and understanding from others here suffering just like you are. As for diet it is pretty individual for most of us, but I personally follow a low residue diet and it works well for me. This is the diet a dietician recommended to me when I was flaring, and I have found that it works best for me now too while I am in remission. Good luck!
