How much are you taking daily? and are you on other medications for your CD?

I have been on prednisone for most of the time I have had CD. I have had brief times when I have been off, but then I will have a flare and end up back on. Currently I am at 5mg, which is really low for me and I am hoping that I can stay at this dose or possibly even go lower, but I'm not sure. At this point I can't remember the last time I was off entirely and I don't think I will ever be again. But at such a low dose, I really don't care. I'm not suffering any of the side effects from it and the only reason I am still on it is because my adrenal glands have shut down. If this is the price I have to pay for having the last decade of my life back, then I'm OK with that. With every drug we take there is going to be some pay back, this one is doable for me.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Artist guy, Prednisone is not one of those meds you can stop anytime you want to. You could have an adrenal emergency if you do not reduce the pred with a proper wean.
