The past few weeks have been stressful, and I guess it's all caught up with me. I went away for the weekend for a friend's wedding, and tired myself out completely. Not to mention that I ate crappy, and was on an emotional rollercoaster the whole weekend...anyway...

I also decided to try SlimFast a few weeks ago to get a little weight off. I only had 1 shake a day for about 2 weeks, then when I knew my system was ok with it, I went to 2 a day. I lost about 5 pounds, which is a start, but I have more to get off.

Today not only is my RLQ hurting, but my right hand (which I injured in a car accident a year and a half ago) is swollen and hurts again.

Anyway, I hate to take pain meds, and I'm trying not to because I know that my hand might hurt for quite some time until I get it injected again, but I think I may give in for the evening.

Just needed to vent to you all. I really wanted to continue SlimFast for a while to get about 20 pounds off, but I guess my system can't handle it. I guess I'm stuck with the weight. I just wanted to lose enough to fit in all of my clothes, but that's not gonna happen.

Thanks for listening.

Oh, but on a good note, I had bloodwork repeated because my alkaline phosphatates have been high, and they're finally normal!! My GI wanted to do a liver biopsy since they were elevated for about 9 months, but now I don't have to!!!

Don't quit quite so fast. The LRQ pain may not be diet related. Maybe take a break from them then try again in a few weeks?

I think it was mostly stress causing my stomach pain. The weekend was SO stressful! I'm going to cut back to 1 SlimFast a day and see how things go.

Thanks for your support!

I know that stress will make me flare more than anything else. I have been overdoing it at work and trying to fit too much into my schedule. I knew better, but I was feeling really good. It all caught up with me the last few days and so here I sit while my entire family are out having a good time. I would feel depressed about it , but I am too tired. LOL

Good luck and I hope that you can find more success in your diet strategies. 5 lbs is a great accomplishment!
