Hi,

I have crohn's and have not been feeling well recently.  On Tuesday night I started to vomit.  That has thankfully stopped, but I have bad stomach distention-no other symptoms at this time.  Any thoughts on what this could be?  I have not called the dr as I was hoping it would run its course.

Thanks,
Ryan

Do you have any strictured areas in your intestines? Maybe something got stuck and then finally made it's way through??

I did have an obstruction over 2 years ago which worked itself out in the hospital.  I do not have the pain this time however.  Is distention itself something to be concerned with?  It feels like you do after a colonoscopy.  Thanks!

I wouldn't really worry about it, but that's just me. Could you try taking Gas X or something like that and see if that helps? Maybe also, you could call your GI and see if they have any suggestions without having to go in and see them.

You might want to talk to your doctor about a possible bacterial overgrowth. I have had that hit me twice, and I get really bloated and gassy feeling. Good luck!

THanks. What did the do for that? I just emailed my dr and he emailed back saying either viral or recurrent crohns. I hate hearing those words. I need to make an appt.

For the bacterial overgrowth I took Cipro for 10 days and it knocked right out. Good luck!
