I just had some lab work done and the ESR was elevated (25). I don't know much about these tests. But I am currently and have been on prednisone for awhile now, and wonder if the prednisone would affect the outcome. Only my thinking is that the prednisone should be lowering the inflammation. Does anyone know?

I also have protein in the urine. We're actually looking to see if I have lupus on top of the crohn's. I didn't know I was having a urine test so I didn't have to go. I may ask them to redo that one since I barely had a sample.

Thanks

I just got more test results back and the WBC was elevated. Not as high as when I landed in the hospital last fall, but still higher than other times I've been tested. I wonder what's up.

Your sed rate is pretty good - not too elevated. I would also think that prednisone would bring down inflammation so, in time, that would show as a decrease in sed rate. Sed rate does take a while to reflect changes though.

My WBC is pretty much always elevated too.
