Last night I had really bad pains.  It was so bad and has not been like this in a long time.  I started with Aleve, then I took a bath, tried a heating pad and eventually gave in and took a norco- still not much help though.  This morning it is a little better but I am still worried something is going on.  It is all on my lower left side and spreads to my back.
Dx with UC in 97, hospital stays monthly, tons of blood transfusion, bowel rest on TPN, prednisone, asacol, sulfa,
99- multiple failed remicade treatments, more hosptial stays
finally in 2001 had enough and had total colectomy (j-pouch) surgery, 1st step was good, then the reversal was not such a breeze, got peritinitis and almost didn't make it.
the rest of 2001-2006 were amazing!
now having problems again- they are thinking Crohns.- have been on Humira with no luck

Lower left?

Go to hospital, could be appendix, safest to get it checked out.

Best wishes,

Have used a variety of complementary medical therapies. Highly recommend Bowen Therapy as the best body work. Take me vites. Started Low Dose Naltrexone March 27, 2010. With my total colectomy they took out my appendix... and my ovary and tube were removed for a mass so I don't know is left down there:(

Well, never mind me then, lol.

It's possible then you've got adhesion there which might be causing a stricture, or...

Finding out what your dealing with is still probably a good idea...
