Does anyone have any idea what this med could be?!

Hey guys............OK so ages ago I made a post asking about different diarrhoea meds as I'm keen to find one that makes me a bit less scatty than codeine, a med was suggested to me (from what I remember!) that apparently works on the body like a opiate but can't pass into your brain and I can't remember the name of it and I can't for the life of me find the post! I'm seeing my GI next week for a routine appointment and really wanted to ask him about this, does anyone have any idea what this med might be? Or feel free to recommend any other anti-diarrhoeal I could look into - bearing in mind immodium and questran don't work on me........thanks in advance guys! :-)

Hmmm. There's Buscopan, which helps with the spasming?

After trying just about every anti diarrhoeal and anti-spasmotic, I have found that librax has been the most effect for me and it also has a little bit of a anti-depressant in it that makes you a little happier. Levsin and Bentyl are also very good but make me very tired.

I like Librax alot myself. I suffer with more c than d, but when I have those d days and I am tired of feeling crampy and running to the bathroom, I take my Librax. And the additional med in it isn't an antidepressant but a anxiety type med that helps to calm your spirits some. Good luck! By the way, I have always had the same response to Lomitil as I have with Immodium. JMHO
