Hey Matthew
I wish I could say I was coming out of a flare too, but no luck. I woke this morning (from 2 hours sleep and 4 hours awake) lathered in sweat and here I sit with sweating palms, feet and chest. Have been sweating constantly since february!! New to the crohns dx (april) 2010. Have a shower, put cooler/fan on and drink plenty of fluids. Hate this DD too - remember we're all in it together!

I used to keep so many fans on me, I couldn't possibly make enough sweat to keep up with the drying process lol.

Man, that sucks, Matthew... hope you feel better soon...
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

Seems better right now. Fingers crossed! Hopefully, an isolated incident. But since I had two similar incidents in the last two weeks ( all sitting at this keyboard. Hmmm) I cannot count on it. I don't really know what is causing it. I had some Red Triangle pain with mildly bloody mucus on my Sunday nature walk, but its been quiet since then, no pains, or D.

Sincerely,
Matthew

Sometimes, I wonder how much heat this here Dell puts out. The air in my office is kinda poor, but the other day, it was cool so it shouldn't have happened.
Maybe I'm like Randy, & just got the Fever. Heck, I'll change my old PC handle to Dr. Johnny Fever! LOL

Hey Matthew, sorry you have the sweats. Your Dell makes more heat than you think. I put up a ceiling fan in my work room and it has helped a great deal. Also the sound and the breeze make me sleepy and I have dozed in my chair many nights , between bathroom visits. Helps me not disturb my wife on such nights. Hope you feel better soon .

Sniper: Don't feel it, but your probably right.
I'm not on Pred or any other med right now. I'm not in an official Flare yet, & with no Health Insurance because of my recent job loss, I hope I don't go into a flare!

I just had a thought after that:

I'm also off my Celebrex. After more than 2 years, could this be mild withdrawl symptoms? If it were my Tramadol, I certainly do get sweats & chills galore ( its not called cold-turkey for nothing! But I'm drawing that down very, very gradually. I feel I've been dependent on it for too long. Still, I never had withdrawl from anti-inflamatory meds before. But???...

I sweat with 2 fans going at night. One on low and the other quieter one on full.
