Finally home from hospital for good!

Hi all, Yep i'm home and its wonderful to be sleeping in my own bed at last!! since my last post things started to go right the TPN thankfully helped heal the hole in the small bowel so didn't need a 3rd op needed to have 5 units of blood before i came out as it was only 7.2 but, am feeling really well, just struggling to get my appetite back at the mo. would just like to say thanks for all your support,encouragment and advise you have given me this past 18 months I really appreciate it. going to go and catch up with some posts now Bev X
Diagnosed with crohns at 13 now 43
Reversal of temp ileostomy finally have a date 7th April 2010
Meds: Iron syrup,Loperimide,Folic acid & Citalopram 60mg (for Anxiety.)

Yessss so glad to hear you are home and finally starting to feel better. Be sure you take it easy and rest up and don't overdo, you are still recovering remember that. I hope this all leads to a long long remission for you. Big Hugs!

Crohn's Disease for over 34 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium, Vit D, and Xanax prn. Resections in 2002 & 2005. Also diagnosed w/ Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, & Anxiety. Currently my Crohns is in remission, but my joints are going crazy!

Congratulations, being home so rocks!

CD 24 years. Multiple surgeries in past 10 yrs. 4 year Illeostomy. Mesh rejection. Too close to death, twice. Large inscisional hernia. Perpetually underweight. Short bowel syndrom. Have used a variety of complementary medical therapies. Highly recommend Bowen Therapy as the best body work. Take me vites. Started Low Dose Naltrexone March 27, 2010. Got married for the only time 2008. Survive because of the love of good friends, and because I can. Happy to be alive. IBD needs more awareness and more voices willing to speak up. BE well.

Nothing better than sleeping in your own bed after a long hospital stay.  I am so glad to hear you are feeling better.

Bowel Resection surgery 2006, Now on Asacol, Endocort, Prednisone, Imuran, Folic acid, and Enalapril.

Male, 54 years old with Crohn's since 15 years old, diagnosed at age 46. Terminal ileum resected 2002. 5 months of remission. Crohn's has now been active since early 2003. Had a gall bladder removed Nov. of 2009. Currently on Remicade every 8 weeks, Nexium, Iron, B-12 injection every 4 weeks,5-asa Asacol, Morphine Sulfate as needed for pain. Cymbalta for long term pain control. 5-asa Salofalk, Entecort, Imuran and Prednisone in the past.
