low platelet count

went and picked up results from some blood work, dr told me everything looked normal, i noticed under PLATELETS
IT WAS LOW 144 normal is 150-430, i am on asacol

I have been successfully maintained on Asacol for five years. No, Asacol will not alter your platelet count. You are probably borderline anemic, which I have been too for a few years now. Many with Crohns suffer with anemia. Not low enough for an iron infusion, but if I were to go lower they would. Good luck!

Crohn's Disease for over 34 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium, Vit D, and Xanax prn.
