Has anyone attempted to use boswellia instead of a mesalamine derivative? Most studies seem to suggest they are equally effective.
Crohn's Colitis diagnosed 6/08
Organic SCD since 4/09
Remicade since 6/09
Boswellia + Natren's Healthy Trinity probiotic + Cinnamon + Wild Oregano Oil + vitamin D + zinc + Barlean's fish oil

Not yet determined if I have ulcerative colitis or Crohn's colitis, but my colon is definitely inflamed. I take boswellia and powdered psyllium SEED (not husk) and it seems to work so far.
No Meds, allergic to Mesalamine. I find Psyllium seeds especially helpful.

Boswellia, E. Coli Nissle (Mutaflor), turmeric, fish oil, Saccharomyces boulardii, Jarrodophilis, multiple vitamin, extra D3, C, high gamma E, magnesium, Avoca Asu, slippery elm, phosphatityl choline, and glutamine. Sometimes VSL3. Diet includes copious amounts of fruit and vegetables, no soda, tea instead of coffee, very few processed foods, no carrageenan.
