Every Morning I Run my TPN like at about 6AM,

I'll tend to snack on something and sometimes fall asleep after a snack for like 20-30min.
after about a half hour when i wake up.. I feel a little jittery and dry.. and my heart feels a little more tachy, or faster.

why is that? when you eat and fall asleep.. does somethin happen? confused. it's scary cus im dealing with fast heart rate right now and little things like this bother me.

Oh, and does prednisone affect heart rate during the day?

For me, Prednisone increases my heart rate tremendously, especially if you are on a higher dose. I always feel like I am having an anxiety attack.
Dx'd w/ Crohn's in 1979 at age 13. Bad flare 2008 but no health insurance so I dealt with it. Colonoscopy in July 2009 caused a perforated colon, emergency bowel resection. 2 fistula's, perianal and perivaginal.

Humira, probiotic, a multivitamin, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and fish oil. I also take Tramadol 50 mg and Klonopin (for anxiety) as needed.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance!

i never had any problems being on TPN and falling asleep. when i was in the hospital on it i would get the lipids at about 8pm and take my dilaudid iv and go to sleep, the sugary stuff ran all day. i also never had any problems with the prednisone (other then i become dependant on it) but then again maybe i am just used to have a fast heart rate because mine is up always. no matter if im on that stuff or not.

Prednisone drove me crazy! And sleep? Not a chance when I was on it!

oh wow, I never new that it did that! I would have been terribly freaked out about that had I been able to notice it.
