So my Mom claims that taking my daily vitamin/calcium pill and my 6MP together could counteract each other. She thinks if I take them separate during the day would be better. I've never done it.. had the same ways of doing it forever. Do you think this is true? Do you take them separate throughout the day?

Crohn's Disease. Diagnosed in 1997 at the age of 10.
Currently moving onto the "big doctors". AKA: Transferring out of Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
Doing lots of testing now that I have a new doctor:
Just started B-12 injections ( monthly)
Currently on: Purienithol (6MP), Calcium, and Multi-Vitamin
Was on: Prednisone, Remicade ( Allergic Reaction 2nd time around)

Definetly ask your doctor.  If you know a dietician he/she would be even better to ask.  Also you might look it up on the internet.  MAybe a phrase such as drug and nutrient interaction.

college student trying to get a degree in philosophy
Diagnosed Jan. 2008 with Crohns disease.  Been on solumedrol, flagyl, Pentasa, Rowasa, Prednisone, Humira.
 
Currently on Pentasa and Humira.  Started Humira 4-8-10.

You could ask a pharmacist too.

But as far as I know, there are no known issues taking 6MP and vitamins at the same time.
