this might be a dumb question, my case of Chrons HAD BEEN RELATIVELY MILD TILL RECENTLY,
how could a person tell if they have a skin TAG or FISTULA.

tigerpawn...I have always been a mild case CDer, but I do have many tags.  Do a search for post on skin tags.  pb4 gives a great link to pics of the difference between hemmies and tags.  Basically, my tags start as narrow at the base and are bulbous at the ends.  They get worse/larger when I am flaring and many docs have told me that they are a great indicator for coming or current flares.

I have also had one fistula.  The only way I knew what I had was leakage of fluid.  I was lucky and had one in a limited muscle area so I did not have much pain.  I just had more and more leakage of what turned out to be infected liquid.  One visit to my GI and explaining the leakage--one look and he knew what it was right away.

Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]
I'm riding on the escalator of life....
