The doctor says it's good news and bad news. the good news biopsies were all insignificant, so no
nasty cells. The bad, he was concerned with the pancreatic function test, sooooo, I have to go back
and have the MRCP done, that I couldn't get 2 weeks ago because of no IV access. This time they
have told me that there'll be someone from anestesiology (sp) to put the IV in.
I don't quite know what they will do for me if the function is failing. I'm a little concerned!!

Wishing you all the best Vicky.  Thank goodness the biopsy results are okay.   All I can say is take it one day at a time. I'm sorry that you have to wait AGAIN.
Let us know how it goes.

I wish we had zip-in and zip-out organs, so we could just put in a new pancreas, for instance, as needed. Wishing you good luck with the next round of tests.

hey dunny, my pancreas is shriveled up like a raisin on one end.. so low to no digestive enzyme production from that part. they got replacement pills like Creon 10 etc.. you take a couple before and after eating and every so often through the day. i tried em, for a couple of months but i never could see a differance. but if you still got most of your guts it would maybe work, with my lack of distance i dont think they ever really got to work.

I'm with Randy. I was on Creon for a few years while my pancreas healed up. Hey, whats a few more pills ?Better yet these or pig pancreas, how cool is that. If you eat like a pig, you have something to blame it on. Hopes and prayers for you to feel better soon ....

Randy & Sniper, I'm already on enzymes, was on Greon 20, but they didn't work. so now I'm taking
Viokase, I take 2 with a snack & 4 with a meal. BUT they don't seem to be doing any good.
I've researched a little into this chronic pancreatitis business, and as per usual, I've found stuff
that scare the bejeebers out of ya. WebMD, says that for most, the mortality rate gets high after
7 years of being diagnosed. BUT, it goes on to say that partial or total removal of the pancreas
can be done. Boy I'm so confused and worried.
My Doc says he'll do everything to keep me going, Okaayyyy....

Thanks Lyn, right now it's good to know I have "family". My husband is presently going through a rough
time, with finances and stress, so I do feel a little isolated. My son doesn't want to hear it, he's in denial.
He doesn't like the idea there can be anything seriously wrong with his mom:) And I have to admit, it's
good to air your views. Sometimes I do think I might die, and that frightens me, and I can't tell anyone
else that. SO a big thankyou for all being there for me. You truly are family!!

One other thing, I don't know how to get rid of this seething anger I have toward the drug (6mp) that
did this to me. I understand it only effects the few, but it didn't do squat for my crohns, and I end up
dealing with this mess. I realize I shouldn't dwell on this, but I guess I just need someone or something
to blame. If only someone would say sorry....

I really don't feel so good. Talk about being tired. Like the old saying "I'm so sick of being sick, and so bloody tired
of being tired"
Anyone wanna join my pity party, it's a good one!!
