Took Remicade for little less than a year and gave me psoriasis so bad I had to quit. Been on Humira for probally 2 1/2 years, still a psoriasis problem but much less than Remicade and more tolerable. Was down to 3 mg of Prednisone for most of the time, but had Flare around December and seemed to need around 7.5 to 10 mg of Prednisone since then. Last few weeks have been struggling around 15mg to 20mg. Was around 25 to 30mg before the Humira. Take one pen once a week. Last few injections seemed like just injecting water. So either I have gotten a couple bad batches in a row or it is no longer being effective. Anybody have suggestions what the next step would be? Had hoped I could get by till I could try Stelara but does not seem to working out.

What country do you live in, Jack? I ask because different meds are available in different countries.

Some options are Cimzia, Tysabri, MTX, 6MP, LDN. For myself if the Humira peters out I'm looking at surgery.

I'm curious about what is next. I expect Humira to stop working sometime along the way. I started off with Surgery, then 6MP, then Remicade and now I'm on Humira. While I'm in remission right now, I wonder how long it will last.
Diagnosed in April 05, resection in May 05. Have gone through 6MP, Remicade and am now on Humira and Colestid.

I am in remission!

I live in the Florida,USA. Tysabri scares me, LDN intrigues me. MTX and 6mp did not work out. I guess I am thinking of going to Cimzia or getting my dermatoligist to perscribe Stelara, but really wanted to wait for Crohn's approval, or finding somewhere for LDN. Have an appointment with my Gastro next week and wanted to get my options in a row first and some ideas of whats available. He is usually open to ideas but he did not think much of LDN, would need to find someplace for that. He has been recommending another surgery for over 5 years now, my first and last was in 1995 and it worked out great. But I want to avoid that as long as possible for fear of ending up on a bag or something unforseen when there seems to be so many new developments coming along now that we never saw in the past.

You could try the Prochymal trial too? Someone here said that has reopened.
