Every once in a while over the past couple months there will be a bunch of drops of blood in the water after I relieve my bowels. Today I went to the bathroom and I noticed a couple drops of recently dried blood on the inside of my underwear near the back. I thought I got my period for a minute, but it was not in the correct location for that. No probing revealed active bleeding, however.

Should I be worried? I'm supposed to leave the country tomorrow - what's the likelihood this is indicative of some terrible problem??

It does sound more like a hemmoroid to me. Usually when you have drops of blood like that usually the stool is a little harder and might scratch or irritate an internal hemmoroid and cause the bleeding. Good luck!

Sounds like the beginning of a fistula also. I have had one now for several years. Dr. does not want to operate.

The creams such as prep H, and the tucks medicated pads(witch hazel) may help some, they are supposed to help keep them from swelling up.

It could also be a fissure or just good old bleeding from inflammation in the rectum. If you are having other symptoms, like diarrhea and/or pain and the bleeding happens every BM then I would talk to your doctor. Where is your CD usually?
