While I was checking my email this article caught my eye. I know that several of you have mentioned an interest in trying hookworm therapy, so I thought I'd share:
28 year-old female
Dx with Crohn's in 2007, although my issues have been lifelong.
Previous medications: Pentasa, Keflex, Asacol, Lialda, and Entocort
Currently on: Prednisone, probiotic supplement, multivitamins, store-brand OTC Zyrtec and Nasonex (for allergies)

I saw that article the other day. If it didn't cost $3k I would consider it. The whole having worms inside me doesn't bother me that much, but its the price that gets me. I would do it in a heartbeat if I knew if it worked though.
Feeling the best I have in several years! And it keeps getting better!

4mg LDN at bedtime, 500mg Pentasa 4x/day, 500mg Vitamin C, 1,000 I/U Vitamin D3, 1 Florastor 2x/day, 1 Nature's Way Primadophilus Reuteri at bed time.
Medication prior to taking LDN: 100 mg Imuran a day (GI wanted 150 mg), 1,000 mg of Pentasa 4x/day, 3 mg of Entocort 3x/day, Librax as needed.
