We have many members that are on disability. You do have to have all your doctors on board and it is also suggested that you have an attorney too. Be prepared to be denied the first time, everyone is. You just have to keep fighting until you get it. Good luck!

I was never denied the first time. I got approved in 30 days. I also had my family doctor treating me for severe deppression. At the time of disability there was no end in sight for my Crohn's disease. I had an ileostompy for the second time.

I was put on Imuran for about 6 months, and the rectal pain was gone. I stayed on it another 6 months and they reattached me. I have been taking imuran since. (8) years. I also have been taking Humira for the last 5 years, weekly.

I have good days and bad days, but for the most part, prett good. I just wish I could lose some weight, I know, stay off my meds, I'll lose the weight really fast, cause I won't be able to work!
