Hello all:
I could use a group hug ... and maybe some information or some feedback if you can relate to my experience.
I've been diagnosed with Crohn's for about 6/7 years.  Have had mild /moderate symtoms up until the last year. moved from CA to IA.  This winter I think I got the swine flu and all hell broke loose.  Six weeks of bad abdominal pain, D, vomiting bile, I ended up in the hospital with a bowel obstruction.  Five months on steriods, I went off. As i went off, my symptoms of throat and mouth sores became more prominent as did my lung and asthma symptoms.  I ended up with a DX of Bronchitis and went on a short 5 day burst of steriods for 5 days and cleared all up.
then all hell broke loose again.  Throat sores and scabs changes places but retuned as did lung irritation and coughing.  Then, my entire mouth broke out in ulcers (not to mention vuvla ulcers increasing in the last 2 months which I keep forgetting to mention to the Dr.!)  in my mouth with red round circles looking like cobblestones on the roof of my mouth. Also, sores in my boogey right ear.  I've had sores (no one knew what they were then) on my scalpe and then an abscess on my lower back in the past.
Anyone have any ideas????

First off BIG HUGS!!! I think maybe you might need to go back on the dreaded Pred again. Maybe you need to be on it longer with a slower taper. I hope you get feeling better soon, I know how miserable it is to be so sick. ((((HUGS))))

Oh my, I'm sending you a big ((HUG)) too. I'm in my own flare (see my other current thread) -- but no sores, thank goodness. Sounds awful. My advice -- tell that doctor EVERYTHING (even the vulvar sores) and hang in there.

We're similiar ages - I'm 47 and wasn't diagnosed til 44. Also a single mom. GOOD LUCK!
