You may not have this problem in the US, seeing as you rely so much on palm oil, but I have heard that people down here (Australia) are starting to run into problems as a result of relying too much on vegetable oils... so maybe don't overdo it.
I think olive is ok; canola, less so. Still, it's said to be better for your health than animal fats.
One good thing about
canola is that it has a higher smoking point, so it can be better for shallow frying etc than olive oil.
