Well had my quarterly GI appointment yesterday to find out the status of my Crohns and the result of the CT Enterography.  The Crohns looks great!!  Yeah!!!

But.....they have found a growth on my kidney that has grown some since my last CT Enterography (2 yrs ago).  So now I have to go to see a Urogolist to see whats up there.

Trying not to freak myself out.  But good Lord can I not just get some good news for once.  Does there always have to be a but...with everything????  Anyone have any clues or thoughts on this?

Anyways, prayers greatly appreciated.

Hugs

That's great news about the Crohns! Glad it's doing so well!

Sorry to hear about the growth but hopefully you'll get a GOOD answer on that really soon. It sucks when you get good news and before you can fully be happy about it, something else comes along.

Sending prayers and hugs your way.

Nanners - thinking positive things for you and praying for a clear, easy answer to the kidney thing. Keep us posted.

Just got my CT Enterography results this morning as well. My Crohn's is NOT so good - 3 active areas: one at anastamosis, one above it, and one below it. Great. That sucks. Time to belly up to the Biologics Bar and choose a flavor. =(

Aww Dooger sorry to hear your CT didn't show better results. I was actually surprised mine came back good, as I really haven't been feeling up to par myself. Now I worry this kidney thing is the cause. But what can I do other than put it in Gods hands. G27 thanks for your kind words too. Hugs!

Sorry to hear that.  There's actually a term for it: incidentaloma.

NYTimes ran a blog post on it not too long ago.  From what I've read, many of these incidental findings are stressful, but they're often not cuase for toomuch concern.

My last CT scan I had they found a spot on my liver that had grown. It ended up being a hemangioma. It is very common and most likely will never even have to be treated! Hope I could help!

I'd celebrate if I were you! It's probably a cyst... hear today gone tomorrow. I'll say a special prayer just in case!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too! Hopefully, and more than likely, it is just a cyst that just goes away and doesn't even need treating. Now maybe a good time for the xanax . . . until you get the good news that it is nothing to worry about, and you can do the happy dance. Keep us posted.

Glad the news is good about the Crohn's.
Sorry that they have given you something else to worry about though but looking on the positve side at least they have found it and can now look into it further-if they hadn't of done the enterography you could have been oblivious.
I am not going to say 'don't worry' because you (or any of us) would anyway, try and stay positive that they have found it and will take the appropriate action to deal with it.
Good Luck

Thanks so much everyone for your support. I hope that it is just a cyst, but am concerned because per my GI, it has grown since my last CT two years ago. And of course, the last sentence of the report says "A neoplasm (cancer) cannot be ruled out".

Hopefully, I will be able to get in with the Urologist soon, and get some answers. I know this may sound silly, but I did all this testing to make sure everything was okay before my knee replacement. I am not so much worried about what this growth is, as I am worrying that it will make me have put off my knee replacement surgery to deal with this growth. I am in so much pain, and walking is getting more difficult by the day, I just want this thing fixed.

But thanks so much to Healingwell family. You are always here to support me thru whatever difficulty hits my life, and I appreciate it/and you so much.

Hugs

Hi Nanners, Good to hear the crohn's is behaving its self sorry to hear about the Kidney problem I know we always think the worst when we're told something like that but, stay positive, if it was Cancer over a two year period would of caused a lot more damage than the growth just getting bigger I would of thought hang in there hun, sending good thought your way. Sorry to hear of about the results. I do hope they determine it's something that can be easily treated or resolved.
