I've noticed that a lot of us seem to be struggling physically, mentally and emotionally just now.

Would anyone be interested in joining me in a daily self-care thread, along the lines of the pacting that we used to do in 2009?

The basic idea is that we'd come here each day and post a small thing (or maybe a few things) that we'd like to do today to help improve our physical / mental / emotional health, and then encourage each other as we progress.

I know I really need this. I've been dealing with very severe fatigue for the last twelve months (if not more) and am now really starting to get stressed and anxious about how out-of-control my life is getting.

So... if you're stressed or anxious or lonely or depressed or unwell or unmotivated or just need some encouragement, you're very welcome to join in.

It's Saturday for me, so I'll post my tlc goals in a new thread. I hope you'll think about joining me - I'd love to have some company.

Ivy.

Bless you Ivy.
I quite often feel like I need a little TLC (not that I am a sufferer) so I don't know if I can be included?? Sometimes just watching those you love suffer can be a struggle.
Anyway my goal for now is to get to bed as it is already Saturday and I am still up ;)

Heck Yeah...caregivers suffer greatly too! They may not feel the physical pain, but I think their emotional pain is HUGE! (and maybe even greater, emotionally though) I only have to look to my husband...so my 2cents is yeah, you SHOULD also join...

Lots of TLC for Nanners right now please. Even though I could do with just a little:)

Vixen, I wrote you a reply before but it seems to have disappeared in cyberspace. Please do join in - we all need to look after ourselves, and the more support and encouragement and inspiration we can give each other, the better.

Me too , but I have to warn you, I pick on people....
If we would read the secret history of our enemies,we would find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.

Thanks Ivy,
I like coming here but sometimes wonder if maybe people resent it (not that anyone had indicated that, I hasten to add) because I am not suffering in the true sense.
I think you are all a great bunch and cope remarkably well and even manage see the humourous side in this awful disease.
You are all such fighters and that gives me hope for my son and his future
Bless you all

Count me in! Seems we Crohnies seem to always have something popping up. I don't know about anyone else, but it sometimes feel you can't win for losing. And Vixen you are part of the family, so definetly join in. I agree with the above, sometimes I think caregivers suffer just as much if not more. I know more poor husband who is a saint, misses out on alot of life, because of his sick wife. Great idea Ivy!
