I am on 6mp (similar to purinethol) and I know I am suppose to stay out of the sun. I use the best quality and highest number sunscreen I can get for my face. Usually one of the makeup counter brands, like Clinique or Estee Lauder with a #50 or higher, and I reapply every hour or so when I am out. I also cover up with a hat and I usually have on a lightweight coverup over my whole body. It kind of stinks but its better than a sun burn.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

I don't know if you know anyone who sells it but I love just Mary Kay day lotion which has an SPF25. I hate sunblocks especially on my face so a face cream seems to be the best solution for me. I have worn just the SPF25 all aoround Disney in May and never burnt.
Dx with crohns February 25, 2010. But suspect I had it since 2002 with very mild symptoms.

My favourite sunscreen for my face is Neutrogena's suncreen lotion. It's not greasy at all, and it comes in really high SPF (I have a bottle of SPF100). Sorry I don't know about specifics for your condition - but my sister has really sensitive skin and the Neutrogena stuff doesn't bother her, so it might work for you, too. Best of luck!

I think it is really a trial and error process, so buy little bottles. I too use estee lauder, mary kay, clinique, prescriptives, and neutrogena (all the face cream ones), depending on how poor I feel when I need to buy more moisturizer.
But I have found what works best for me is staying out of the sun, but my issues have more to do with lupus rather then r.
