mtgman I ignored the warning figured with sunscreen it can't be that bad! I have to agree with what you said! I'm also on Sulfasalzine and 6MP and both of those say it as well. I just figured it can't be bad if you put some spf30 on. I got burnt wicked bad, got a rash and it hurts like hell!!! I just went yesterday figured I'd wait a few days and go to the beach again and see if it was just a one time thing or will happen again. I love the sun, beach and summer so won't be fun if it happens again that will mean I need to stay away from it all. :(

I didn't think about it and worked out in the yard for about 4 hours with no sunscreen a month or so ago and my shoulders and back got fried but nothing else burned at all.  I have been wearing SPF 30 on my back since then and have worked outside for several hours each time without getting burned.  But, I'm only on 10 mg right now.

Crohn's Disease, Acid Reflux/Gastritis, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Endometriosis, Arthritis, Depression/Anxiety.  Too many meds to list them all.  =)

It's for real and for me it always feels like a chemical burn, not just regular sun burn. It has an extra stinging sensation to it. Hate being photosensitive due to meds!

I am on entocort and I noticed that I get 'flushing' in the face when I am out in the sun. It is very weird looking as it only affects my cheeks and it is warm to the touch while it is red. Luckily I am not out in the sun a ton. The sun and I have never been the best of friends! My brother tells me that if I were to stay out in the sun very long I would explode like a vampire! smilewinkgrin
Dx with crohns February 25, 2010. But suspect I had it since 2002 with very mild symptoms.
4 lialda a day.
3 entocort daily for the next few months
hyosamine for daytime
Bentyl for evening
Multigen
