Hello,
Has anybody here tried Absorb Plus? Seems like it would make sense, giving your bowels a rest... I also found this on the web: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16824066

Yes, love this product, my son has it in his morning shake, takes a chocolate one to school, and sometimes has one in the evening.
We aren't using it to give the bowels a rest as he is in remission right now, but to add calories, he is on the SCD, and although this shake is not 100% legal, it really agrees with him, in his opinion all the flavours are good, but Berry is the best, add it to some full fat organic coconut milk, frozen strawberries and blueberries, YUM.

What do you mean - not 100% legal?

My son is following the Specific Carbohydrate diet, there is a list of "legal" and "illegal" foods which are allowed on the diet, Absorb plus contains both Maltodextrin and Fructose, and the chocolate one contains chocolate, all 3 of these things are illegal, but Absorb plus has a whole bunch of good stuff, including no oil at all (add your own healthy oil if you wish, we add Udo's or flax seed oil), the whey lactose free and is a whey isolate, which means it is predigested and is absorbed very quickly, it also contains L glutamine, and a whole bunch of free amino acids, B12, Vitamin C, and the list goes on.

I bougth some and liked it. But it's too expensive to import do Brazil (too many taxes, can you believe?). So... I'm sticking to goat milk and Nutren (aff...).
Bu I would recomend.

And if I go in a bad flare, I would pay whatever it costs... think its easier on tummy than ensure.
