My brain doesn't seem to be working today, so this is going to be a challenge...

* put together a bit of a shopping list (even if not complete) so I can make some soup
* go to shop and get some ingredients for soup, some fruit and veg, and maybe some soft foods too
* make two mentally taxing phone calls (I wish it wasn't Friday so I could put them off for another day) redface
* do one of the mentally-taxing transactions that I really can't put off any longer eyes
* exercise
* tlc for legs
* get massage (yay!!)
* try not to let housework slide too much

* BONUS - write at least one of the zillions of letters / emails I owe
* BONUS #2 - find at least one home for the bags and bags of fruit I picked yesterday (which I can't eat redface )
* BONUS #3 - actually get ahead on housework (get an area cleaner / tidier)
* BONUS #4 - accomplish some extra errands
* BONUS #5 - do something fun. For me.

Ah, I get it. Got momentarily confused by the Friday tlc, as it's 11:39pm, Thursday, here. But you're in Australia and it'll be Friday morning there. That might be why your tlc threads aren't getting so many replies, though :-/ For the Americans, right now, it'll be afternoon or early evening on Thursday for them. Hence by the time Friday rolls around this thread will probably have disappeared from page 1. Time differences are annoying.

Good luck with your goals :p I shall post mine when I wake up tomorrow morning.

Yes, the time differences are annoying, and the threads do disappear. I'm not sure what to do about it, though. I briefly considered writing in GMT, but I can't see how that would work...

Bonus Brownie points for me - I've written a slightly coherent email, and managed not to sound sleepily grouchy in it.

Time for me to head off and start on some of the basics now.

Goodnight, NCOT. I hope you have a good sleep. Catch you all later on.

It is hard to know what to do about it. But if I post midday-ish, that'll at least bump up the thread and hopefully catch the attention of the early morning Americans :-/

Well done on the email :p I do know how hard it is to keep up with emails, PMs, posts and other communicative aspects of internet life. In fact I'm owing at least three PMs and these will be nearly email length replies, not single liners. Ack. Must do that tomorrow - already know one thing which will be going straight onto my Friday tlc list! :-/

Goodnight Ivy. Hope you have a good day :p

OK. Shopping list is done, and I've made the first of two phone calls (I can't do #2 until after lunch). Tried to do online transaction, but it seems to be impossible just now.

Next up: leg tlc, and maybe some prep for errands.

Try not to pressure yourself, NCOT. Even starting one thing that needs to be done is a big accomplishment.

So Ivy, what type of soup are you making?  I have sucussfully avoided the Brasco free range chicken/organic veggie soup in my fridge for another day (bad me).  Someone else's cooking always sounds & tastes better than mine (specially if one puts way too much water additive in it).

And yes, still Thursday pm here so I guess this is a gooday to ya!

I've run out of chicken stock and am too tired and busy to make more just now, but found a recipe for cabbage, potato and carraway seed soup (all pureed) that can be made with water instead of stock.

I'm not sure about the cabbage, but it also sounds wholesome and nutritious (and easy) so am still wanting to try it.

Legs are tlc'd, I'm showered and dressed, and have spent 15 minutes doing dishes. I've also done a small amount of exercise, but would like to do more.

Am tired, but will try to do more housework, then do some errands & phoning this afternoon. Really, though, I'd much prefer to go back to bed...

*coughs politely* Is that "g'day" you're trying to say? :-) LOL.

Heya everyone,

TLC for today
* shave legs - must do today cos its boiling hot and being stuck in jeans whilst on pred and having sweat dripping down my face isnt the best look i could go for!
* eat alot since i need to travel tonight and tomorrow to my uni house to move my stuff out
* rest cos i need to move uni stuff (gulp)
* get laundry off line from yesterday
* download and attempt to fix my itunes cos i have loads of movies and tv shows on there and its not flipping working!

Ivy from yesterdays TLC thread, i'd love any horse. I had one last year and my markers were HUGE like feacal calproctin was over 1,000 and i was still going to the stables nearly every day walking there and back (3 miles each way) plus riding for an hour at least then mucking out ect. Doctors couldnt believe it but i was good really. I'd like to get back to that where even though i have problems i can cope cos i have something so worthwhile its bigger than the disease. Its not looking likely though cos the horse i had was a fixed cost every month and i was at uni so i had finance coming through. Now i'm in the process of fighting for 50 quid a week. Think i shall have to go back to once weekly riding lessons.
Still it could be very much worse. I might not be able to ride at all. Now that is torture!!!

Hey Ivy...thanks for asking about the call. I'm avoiding the subject with those that know me. Waiting on the call to get the third interview for a job. unfortunately, they have not called in two weeks and now I think the chance is gone. I'm embarrassed and depressed that I let myself get so excited about the opportunity.
Today:
Continue working on training program for current job
pack clothes for Monday trip
Buy grad cards for the parties this weekend.
Mow just the front lawn
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa, cholestyramine, iron and vitamin supplements.
Prepare for the future, but live in the present

@Habs - Sorry about that :-/ It's always disappointing when hopes get dashed, but you shouldn't feel stupid for having them in the first place.

TLC for today:

- Make it onto HW. (Which I've done. Yay \o/ :p)
- Drive me and my mum to my brother's house
- Play with nephews to the best of my ability; try to resist the urge to longingly collapse into the sofa or onto the grass as I do so
- Text ex-driving instructor. He texted me a couple of days ago. Feel a bit guilty as I'd said I'd do a couple of motorway lessons with him after passing my test, but never did in the end. It'd be nice to say 'hi' to him again, but lessons are so expensive... :-/

Hmm... I have a feeling there was at least one or two other things. Not the PMs. I did those last night in the end. I'll edit this post if I think of anything else.

By the way, I won't be replying in Saturday's tlc, as I'll be staying the night at my brother's. So far the omens are not looking good. Not feeling the healthiest and mood is quite bad to be honest. Just have to hope it's one of those days which start off badly but improve as the day goes along. Take care, folks. Good luck with your tlc's!

Habs, I'm really sorry about the third interview, especially as it was for a job you were so excited about. That's hard :-(.
