* 15 minutes cleaning / tidying x 2
* 15 minutes in the kitchen x 2
* make bed
* think about tomorrow's dinner

And at least 1-2 out of each of these categories.

* read uplifting book (too late & too tired for church)
* darn socks (sounds silly, but I look on this as stewardship)
* listen to uplifting tapes and CDs and do embroidery

TLC FOR MY MIND ('cos I'm a bit stressed)

* spend some time outside
* write lists and reprioritise
* ? tai chi or relaxation?
* pick flowers

* get in touch with some people, either by phone or in writing. Or even in person.
* finish Christmas gift #2

* beauty session
* exercise (done)
* stretch
* drink more water

* make chicken stock
* make soup
* do paperwork
* prepare friend's gift for posting
* check diary
* return library books

* get new craft supplies / go to art gallery / go for a walk do something fun.

6.15 pm.

Done so far:

* 2 x 15 tidying
* 1 x 15 kitchen
* stripped bed; washed sheets; replaced sheets, but not blankets yet, nor quilts nor pillowcases
* uplifting cd (Eat, Pray, Love)
* lots of time outside
* Christmas gift #2 finished; started #3
* exercised
* drank water
* made chicken stock
* wrapped friend's gift, but still have to write the card and address the envelope
* checked diary
* returned library books
* gone for a walk

Still to do:

* 15 minutes (minimum) in the kitchen
* 15 minutes (minimum) tidying
* make bed

Try to:

* finish preparing gift for posting
* think more about lists

Hope everyone enjoys their Sundays as much as I did mine.

Friday/Saturday went well in the end. Drove to my brother's, managed to play with my nephews and had a nice time with them. The only low point was Saturday night, where I had to share a bed with my mum and could not sleep for love or money. Sheer exhaustion got me through for a while, but by 5am I would've climbed walls if I could've. Managed to snatch about 2-3 hours sleep between 6 and 9am. Luckily I was all right for driving home, but unfortunately the younger boy came back with us and the fete that we were going to take him to turned out to have been on last Saturday. Oops.

Anyway, I was so exhausted I slept for 9-and-a-half hours last night - a lot for a rather poor sleeper like me. Okay, let me think...

TLCs for Sunday:

* Text ex-driving instructor (didn't do this >_<) Have to decide whether I want to do a motorway lesson with him or not, which is why I keep putting the text off
* Drive to a local farm shop to see if they have any eggs (from farm-reared, impeccably organic, chickens)
* Sit outside in the garden and make the most of the hot weather, instead of being cloistered away in my bedroom
* Try to really lose myself in an activity for at least one hour, eg reading or maybe garden work - depends
* Watch England vs Germany game (and see England lose; I'm a realist :-/)
* Get to bed by 3am latest, even if I think I have no chance of falling asleep

I consider the last and 3rd from the last to be by far and away the most important on that list. They relate to two things I have been having a dreadful struggle with for years; focus and a decent bedtime schedule. I could go into a lot more detail but I won't bore you all with it. Gotta go. Take care, everybody :p

TLC for sunday

* sort out my bedroom - done 2 and 1/2 hours of this, still nowhere near finished but its been a good start!!
* unpack car with uni stuff - totally done (we have bags of stuff EVERYWHERE!!)
* go into town and pick up some stuff for my friend coming on thursday
* laundry - done two loads but one still in washing machine
* figured out where the local riding school is, so in the next few months (once i get a regular income in) i'm going to go and start riding lessons once a week

Moving went well yesterday. Thank god for my mum's partner, he volunteered him and his estate car and my god we barely got everything in!! I still have a pile of stuff at his house to collect this weekend. The whole move took about 4 hours, from start to finish getting back my deposit ect. It was tough but i feel pretty good about it. It was really theraputic.
