I have been dealing with numberous uti's over the last year from what I thought was from the use of steroids to control a flare.. Now here I am off steroids for 4 months and now I have a major U'TI once again. I also have a lot of pain in my right flank region. A couple websites suggests that there is a coorelation between  Crohn's and recurrent uti's. Does anyone have any experience with this? I also have polycycstic kidney disease so kidney health is extremely important.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Elizabeth

Irishmom4-I don't know much about Crohn's and UTI's but since you have unique kidney issues my suggestion would be to go to a urologist as soon as possible. You certainly want to protect fragile kidneys and they are the experts with all things kidneys. Know it sucks having another dr appointment but this is one that I wouldn't mess around with. Take care, keep us posted. Barb

Thanks for the advice Barb.
I have an appointment the 20th with my nephrologist. I am going to tell him I want more testing done. It is so confusing at times because my GI blames my symptoms on my kidney disease and my nephrologist blames my Crohn's disease and my GP doesn't want to step on either of their toes. I feel like a ping pong ball.
