I was just wondering if anyone has tried the 6 day MethylPREDNIsolone 4 mg pack for a flare? I have been put on Prednisone before, but for longer periods of time. This one starts out super strong, and tapers each day. The entire pack is finished in 6 days. Anyone else with Crohn's tried this approach and had success?

It isn't super strong-it starts at 24 mgs (equivalant to 30 mgs of prednisone) which is moderate at best.
It tapers by 4 mgs per day.
When I am relatively stable on good meds and just have a small flare a dose pack is great.
If I am really sick and need real medication adjustments then the dose pack is a torture devise-I stare at that packet and know for a fact that if I just swallowed the rest of the pills on the pack I would have a good healthy day-but then there would be none for the next day or for a taper.
