Hi guys, I always look forward to your very helpful replies.  I have had severe bloating that has gotten worse and worse. My body is a size 10, but my bathing suit top is a size 20!!  I ask my gastro, and he chuckles and tells me to lose weight, to eat less sugar.  There is something very wrong here, I am tired of being asked if I am pregnant.  I'm finally well enough to go on vacation, but all of the pics will show a huge belly!!  My only crohns meds right now are imuran and colozal.  I tried to stop the imuran but my symptoms came back.  I am wondering if it can be the colazal?  Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I also dont know how to search topics here, so direction for that would be very helpful.

Searching topics: look for the Search button, click inside the white box next to it and type in your search query. ("Bloating" or whatever.) That will take you to a list of search results. Some of them have the thread URL in green underneath. This contains the number of the forum; "f=17" represents the Crohn's forum. It'd be nice if you could just confine search results to a single forum only, but there seems to be no way of doing that.

Unfortunately I can't help as much with the bloating :-/ I do sympathise though. I don't think my bloating is as bad as yours, but I do get some and I don't like it. Makes me feel fat when I'm actually underweight. For whatever it's worth I don't think either of those meds would cause bloating. It's most likely something to do with Crohn's or food intolerances causing poor digestion and creating gas. A no-sugar diet would probably work, but it's more than I could stick to :-/

Yep, right now I have the same problem, my tummy goes before me. I'm only 107lbs so I'm a lightweight, but the
bloat make me feel huge, probably because, not only is it visable, but it hurts.
I think it's more of a crohns issue than meds.

I get the bloat bad! Usually I can relate is to some type of food. If it is sever...could be blockage. Try a probiodict if it's not a blockage. You need more good bacteria..and sugar does make the bad bacteria grow!!

I really hate the sensation of being bloated.

Just had a thought. Adding the word 'Crohn's' to a search query should confine the majority of results to the Crohn's forum and make them more relevant.

Thank you all for your quick responses! A reminder about the sugar was important. I guess to so many ppl who feel they can comment on my belly, instead of just agreeing that I've gained weight, I can explain that it is part of crohns disease. Maybe they'll bite their tongues. I have gained weight, but not thiiiissss big!
