I started at 40mg of Prednisone went down to 10mg and now at 30mg. I also have the headaches and muscle pain. I've told my doctor and he said that those can be side effects of the Prednisone. The side effects just don't seem worth it to me. I have an appt on the 19th and will asking to get off it for a 2nd time. I see you used to be on Remicade did you not like that or did you have side effects? I was going to ask about going on that at my next appt. Hope your side effects go away today so you can enjoy the rest of your day!

I've had the *worst* insomnia on Pred this time around...can't fall asleep until around 3am and then am wide awake around 6. It's making working really, really hard when I'm so tired. :(

And I get muscle pains too...that's one of the side effects of Pred. I get them every single time I taper for like 2 days. It's awful...

tooth- What time of day do you take the pred? I now take mine right before bed and I can sleep through the night before I would take it in the morning when I got up and could never sleep at night or I would fall asleep in the middle of the day and would be awake until like 3am. But for some reason taking it before bed is helping with the sleeping issue.

RedSox - Thanks for the heads up! I've been taking it in the AM before work (like 6:30) and for some reason I can't sleep at night. Next time I'm on it (sure there will be a next time... cry ) I'll try to take it before bed and hopefully it'll stop the wicked insomnia...

Prednisone is evil and I wouldn't wish these side effects on anyone. I'm sorry you guys are dealing with this.

With pred every time I take it I get one of two reactions. Either no sleep and tons of energy or way too much sleep and extreme fatigue. Hate that drug. So far lots of energy once, fatigue 3 times.
