How long have you been on Remicade?  I started noticing increased symptoms maybe 6 months in and they increased the frequency of my doses to every 6 weeks instead of every 8.  That worked for a few months and I started losing response again and started having allergic reactions as well, so I had to stop it (or else be admitted to the hospital every 6 weeks to get the infusion done over 19 hrs and still have it not work).  Talk to you dr. about increasing the frequency if your symptoms are coming back.

Crohn's Disease, Acid Reflux/Gastritis, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Endometriosis, Arthritis, Depression/Anxiety.  Too many meds to list them all.  =)

funny stuff that rem. for me I'm new with rem. old with cd. I had really bad throat and cankersores plus small bowel issue. I noticed that I could swallow fairly normally at first, then it wore off. I'm on my third infusion in 6 weeks. it didn't do much for small bowel. from 1-10, 10 being it helped the most. for my throat it is 7. for my small bowel it has helped 3. I hope that helped alittle. it is no fun at all doing infusions, after yesterday. i feel i could end up having allergic reaction, my vein was huge in my arm and itchy all night, so I'm alittle nervous for next time. I've heard of some pretty scarey allergic reactions.

Remi can put you in remission, or help contoling your simptoms. May it helps delaying your flares or stop them at all. No "one size fits all" at all!

For me, it took about 6 months of treatment to get the full effect of the drug. I'm happy with it, in a good remission (I would give it an 8 in the Artistguy scale).

For alergic reaction I take 200ml of hydrocorticoids some minutes before my infusion. No problems until now...

I am due second infusion next week and am a bit concerned that since the first I have been worse. I am still on Pred and wasn't doing too bad on that, even had solid bowel movements. Now I have more pain and loose movements and more frequency. Wasn't sure if this was something to expect (gets worse before it gets better sort of thing). My Crohns seems to be mostly in small bowel along with strictures. Not sure what to expect with second dose, hope nurse will be able to give some guidance.

It can take a bit of time to kick in. I felt it from the get-go, but my doctor told me that it can take a few sessions. Also, I found out that if you let your stress levels get out of control (which I did), it will not do much for you. So, I would give it a few more sessions, and hopefully your life will become a bit less stressful :)
Diagnosed at 17, currently 23 :)  Have had 1 resection so far.  It's been an adventure!
