Hi! I'm new to this forum. I am researching foods that my husband (who has Crohn's) can have on the SCD diet. If there is anyone who can help me, I'd appreciate it. He can eat pretty much everything on the diet. I have not done beans, though. Have done lentils. Can someone on this diet go without yogurt? We will only be gone for 3 days/2nights.
Thank you!

Here is a great site on backpacking with SCD: http://wiki.fflow.org/index.php?title=Backpacking_Food . A mom came up with all these recipes for her teenage son, who went on a 2 week hike with his scouting troop.

Here are some blog posts people wrote on camping with SCD:

Oh, I forgot to mention the yogurt. If you're worried about missing it, take a few acidophilus pills with you. They'll be okay unrefrigerated for such a short time.

Thanks, Spookyhurst. These are great websites! Yep, gone are the canned baked beans and hotdogs. Lots of prep necessary, but better than staying home.
