Hello.  I am the mother of a 16 year old who was dx last January.  She hadn't gone through puberty yet.  Shortly after diagnosis she was on either intravenious prednisone as well as pill form.  She has been on Methotrexate for 6-8 weeks.  Her periods for the last several months have been 16 days in-between bleeding.  Does anyone have any experience with this?
BTW the Methotrexate has seemed to put her into remission.  It is an amazing drug and we are so thankful to have such an amazing doctor.  We had tried 6mp, but it just wasn't working.  She is healthier than ever now, even after such a short time on the drug.
Her GI doc requested she have a pelvic ultrasound to rule out any issues.

Thx!!
Jen

I don't know, Jen, but here's a bump for you.

btw, what did you mean when you said she hadn't gone through puberty yet? I'm not clear about that, considering she has her periods.

I think a consult with a GYN might be a good idea! Especially given the deley of the onset of menasis.
