Hi guys!!!

I've been MIA for awhile with planning my wedding in the Caribbean's in April and my humira injections had been working. Along with dealing with endometriosis. I did the surgery on June 10th and sure enough I have endo, it was pretty bad where it pushed my ovary to the pelvic wall. We had tried getting pregnant on our honeymoon (now I know why it didn't work, plus my maid of honour did get pregnant..not that we were timing it.. but I wanted the story of having the baby from our honeymoon, clearly none of that matters anymore especially all of the health issues I'm having again)
So we've been trying ever since, but now the humira lost it's effeteness and now my crohn's is out of control again and my diet is back to the normal boring bland food. The surgery didn't help the endo, my next period was exactly like every other. I'm just so frustrated and feel like maybe we should have been trying while my crohn's was good and stable, but then I go back and say with the endo I wouldn't have gotten pregnant anyways. I'm 26 and in a perfect little world another year of waiting would have been fine with me, but all of you CD patints know it usually goes down hill from here before it gets better (I live in Canada..I've done remi and humira was my last option)  so I felt now would be the best time since the surgery was done and I'm currently endo free. But we're not getting pregnant because my period is irregular, even tho I'm tsting my LH every month. The doc finally made a decision to put me on lupron for a yr, but I refuse.. I begged him to allow me another month to try and get pregnant. So we decided if we only have another month or 2, to do insemination for a better chance.
I just really needed to let it all out to people who understand. If anyone has any advice or suggestions or just a word...PLS!!! go ahead I need anything right now.
Thanks for listening everyone!!

OK, are you seeing a reproductive endocrinologist yet? You should be. IMO (I am NOT a DR, but a long ago fertility patient), you should consider several months of endocrine suppression with lupron would put your endo into remission and let you heal your bowel. At that point, consider getting pregnant.

I had trouble conceiving long before I knew I had CD. I suspect that my difficulties can be attributed to the Crohn's. I don't have endo, but I know many who do and I understand how difficult it can make conceiving. Sorry things didn't work out the way you wanted re: honeymoon, but hey, parenting is just like that too! Man plans and God laughs, ha ha ha.

Thanks for replying!!! I'm just sooo turned off by Lupron, especially since I suffer from arthritis already and pretty bad where some days I am unable to walk or even open a bottle of water. Lupron already causes this as it is. I through a good point at the doc (reason he is allowing me the month) I said a lot of ppl's crohn's and endo go into remission like lupron when you get pregnant, he agreed at my point (hence the extra month) I have not yet gone to see a reproductive doc yet, my appt is August 13 (the day before we move into the new house we just bought, another reason waiting another year would have been fine... but I'm just so afraid of waiting anothe yr to realize my CD isn't in any conidition allowing me to carry a child) this is what my CD doc is worried about. She also recommend lupron. My husband is really turnd off of the drug too (even tho in the end it's my decision)

Thanks, but your right it is how parenting is anyway huh!!! I love your saying!!!
Thank you again!! xo
Tracy from montreal. Dx with Cd 7 years ago but un-Dx for 10 years. Meds currently taking;Imuran (1 and half tab daily)Humira (bi-weekly) pentasa, been on prent 4 times but horrible side effects doc wont use this on me anymore. Humira has put my CD into remission, after using remicade for a year and half which caused remi induced arthritis. I am currently (most days) arthritis free. Currently dealing with endometriosis.

no =( but it's the same thing as remi and humira, both of them took a little less then a year to lose the effectetness, I know it'd be the same for cimzia. But at least it'd give me another year!! hopefully by next year it'll be approve here in Canada

so I decided to go see when it'd actually be available here, and guess what...they just approved it a few months ago!!!
I'll definitely speak to my specialist at the end of August. I'll do my own research and see how people have been with trying or being pregnant with his med.
