I had surgery done two months ago and now have a permanent ileoostomy. I was praying that my life would sort of go back to normal. Maybe go back to work?? Since Ive been sick...Ive lost my hubby, my job, my truck, my home and my self esteem...
But.... I guess it wasnt meant to be. (cronic ilness and all)  Now I can barley get out of bed in the mornings. I guess the remicade and humira wasnt working for my crohns BUT was for the severe arthiritis I now have. Its soooo painful!!
I am getting those painfull lumps all over my body too.  I think they were called eredema nodosum?? I have them on my shins, elbows, fingers, and ankles.
I just feel so defeated. I know im going to end up back on some sort of drug "remicade or humira" My doctor put me on a high dose of pred.(50mg) to settle things down but i can only stay on it for so long right??  sigh....
The upside to allll of this ....  I love my ostomy and the freedom it has given me!
Thnks for reading... Celine           I wish you all long and healthier lives...

alas this is all I can offer at the moment...Wow! you were diagnosed the same year as I was...what a cooinkidink...also, it may be your prednisone that can make you feel extra, extra defeated...and I know all to well that deep and dark scary place...I go an visit that place every once in a while...I think those of us with chronic illnesses visit that place a few too many times...
If you need someone to talk to, I'm here (e-mail Ivy at the address listed on her signature, to get my e-mail address...I will talk to you whenever...sometimes it helps to talk to someone whenever you get lost in that dark and scary hole...)
Take care, and some extra (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((LittleSisSmurf)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I believe that you have reached your quota for trials now and deserve a good experience now. Honestly, remember that it is the trials in our lives that make us the people who we are and show us the strength and potential that we possess. All too often we forget the words that this too shall pass and concentrate on the now. My wife and I have also been going through some of the hardest trials and experiences that we could never have imagined happening to us but I know that there is a reason for everything. I urge you to never forget the trials that you have overcome because they are your proof that you can handle any that may come your way in the future. Find something positive about every day you live and hold onto through the next. Even if it is something small that day, cherish it like it is the greatest blessing you have ever had. I can promise you that when things start to calm down for you and life begins to normalize you will recognize the greatness in everything because you have seen how bad things can be.
I don't know if you believe in a higher power but I do not believe that God gives us trials that we can not overcome. I believe that while we may not recognize our strengths, someone else does and it is our belief that we are strong that gives you the faith to endure. Endure till the End.

many hugs to you, you don't deserve to go through this, nobody does :( you'll get through it though. your in my prayers.
Also, i get erythema nodosum but i get it really weirdly, it goes on my arms and legs about 30cm's long and 10 cms wide each bruise/lump. it is so painful to walk etc. i find the best thing to do is have tight things around them to reduce swelling and drink a lot of water it helps them go away faster. hope your feeling better soon xx

Celine: get back on the Humira if it was working before. If it works again you're off to the raises woman. Don't give up!!! At least try giving Humira another chance OR the remicade if it doesn't work.
